    Product Description

    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Sig Nitrite® provides a semi-quantitative assessment of Nitrite Reducing Bacteria (NRB) activity in samples from water systems. This innovative test kit allows users to quickly and accurately detect the risk from NRB of corrosion inhibitor depletion in cooling waters and closed water systems.

    TRUSTED +

The Sig Nitrite® test kit allows you to reliably detect the extent of activity of NRB. Nitrite is commonly used as a corrosion inhibitor, and this test is a reliable way to detect the risk of its depletion by microbes. This method is widely used by water treatment companies and world renowned environmental test laboratories across several industrial sectors.

    INNOVATIVE +

SigTests® are uniquely designed to test for microorganisms which cause significant problems in industry.  Anyone can easily use the kit by adding a small amount of the fluid being tested to the screw-capped tube. Results are then shown via a change in colour of the gel inside the test tube, with time, depending on the number of NRB present.

    ACCURATE +

Through its colour-changing gel methodology, the test kit gives a clear indication of the severity of an NRB infection, and the associated corrosion risks.

    DEPENDABLE +

Enables testing for Nitrite Reducing Bacteria (NRB) in accordance with the recommendations of standards such as BS 8552 and BSRIA BG 29
